Festive Saint Patrick's Day celebration at Billsburg Brewery

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
In light of Governor Northam’s press conference on 3/12 declaring a state of emergency, encouraging local municipalities to consider canceling large events and advising residants to avoid large gatherings we feel a sense of responsibility to postpone the Billsburg Beer Mile to this summer. We feel as if everyone does their part and follows the directions of the World Health Organization, Center for Disease Control, State and Local Health Authorities the COVID-19 Virus will be minimized and we will all be back to business as normal before we know it. The plan is to reschdule the race this summer, and we will keep your registration for this event active. If the chosen date does not work with your schedule, we will switch you to the virtual option and we will mail you your swag when you confirm you have completed your beer mile. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, and we hope you can understand our position.

Enjoy a summer Saint Patrick's Day celebration with Mettle Events and Billsuburg Brewery for its first Beer Mile followed by a great party including food, entertainment and some signature beers. Wear your favorite St. Patrick's Day attire for the parade and judged costume contest.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration includes a Chronotrack timed 1 Mile Beer Run (4 beers), finisher medal and festive post race party with food, beer and entertainment. Registration fees are $30 until race day. There are categories for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beer mile.

PACKET PICKUP/RACE DAY REGISTRATION

Race day registration begins at noon TBD and will be at Billsburg Brewery, 2054 Jamestown Rd, Jamestown, VA 23185. See directions
The Beer Mile starts promptly at 1:30 PM following the Halfpenny St. Paddy's Parade

THE RULES

Each competitor drinks four beers and runs four 1/4 mile laps, (start - beer, then lap, then beer, then lap, then beer, then lap - finish). Beer must be consumed before the lap is begun, within the transition area which is the 10 meter zone before the start/finish line. The 1/4 mile track will be a cross country lap on the grounds of the brewery.

Top male and female in the beer mile will receive custom awards

POST RACE PARTY

12:30 PM registration and packet pickup begins
1:30 PM the Inaugural Billsburg St. Paddy's Day Beer Mile on the grounds of the brewery.
Immediately followed by a festive post race party with finisher medals, awards, food, DJ

DIRECTIONS

Parking is available at Jamestown Beach Event Park (there will be signs to free parking). At risk of being towed, please DO NOT park in Jamestown Settlement parking. See maps below.

COURSE MAP

The race starts and finishes with a beer in front of Billsburg Brewery and runs 1/4 mile cross country around the grounds. This is repeated 4 times.
