Registration Information

Register for all three events for $67.50, or individual events for $25. Race premiums, finisher medals and age group awards are presented at the final event at Virginia Wesleyan University. Participants must complete all series events to qualify for awards


Series Information

Welcome to the 14th annual MettleEvents.com Mud in Your Eye Cross Country Series. This is a Chronotrack timed three race cross country series held at three classic cross country venues in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake.

Floyd E Kellam HS,Virginia Beach
Race #2 Sun, Jan 12 9AM
Bells Mill Park, Chesapeake
Race #3 Sun, Jan 19 9AM
Virginia Wesleyan University

Coed Teams

Teams of 5 to 7 accepted. Team members must enter all three events prior to the first race. Teams will be scored based on the top five placing at each series event. The team with the lowest cumulative placing for the series will win. Co-ed teams must have at least two scoring women at each race.

Age Groups

Series Awards given to top three Male & Female overall and in each age group will receive an award. (13 and under, 14-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-69, 60 and over.) Awards will also be given for 1st place Co-ed Team and top Male, Female and Co-ed Parent/Child teams.

Parent/Child Teams

Parent/child teams must pre-register for the series prior to first race. Awards will be given to the top male, female and co-ed parent/child teams with the lowest cumulative placing for the series. This should be big fun, so rally up moms, dads, sons and daughters!!

Post Race Party

The series culminates with a great post race party at Virginia Weseyan, the final race, with food and drinks, series finisher medals, free race premium, age group and team awards
