Mettle Events is seeking enthusiastic, positive, and outgoing individuals to represent us at races, group runs, and within the community. We are accepting applications for ambassadors to represent the company for the 2019-20 racing season, beginning with the Heart of Ghent 10K in September 2019 and ending with the Scares that Care 5K in August, 2020.

Interested candidates must apply by September 13th. Ambassadors will then be chosen based on several qualifying standards outlined within the application and notified by September 20th.

Free entry to any Mettle Events races including: Heart of Ghent 10K, Big Turkey Burn 5K, Tacky Sweater 5K, Hair of the DoG 5K, Mud in your Eye XC Series (5K, 6K, & 8K), Dismal Swamp Stomp 5K/13.1m, Billsburg Bunny Hops 5K, Yorktown Independence Day 5/8K, Scares that Care 5K, Virginia Duathlon.

Ambassadors will receive free entry to at least 3 Mettle Events races with the opportunity to earn additional race entries throughout the year based on social media, group run and race presence as well as volunteering

Free individualized training programs by professionally certified and experienced coaches 

Ambassadors must:
Embody the ethics and family values associated with Mettle Events

Have a positive attitude and love sharing their passion for running with others

Be active members of the running community online (social media &/or blogs) and at groups runs and races

Live in Tidewater/Coastal Region of Virginia

Not be an ambassador for any other race company that directly competes with our organization

The official season starts on September 2019 and ends in August 2020. Ambassadors may reapply annually

Promote Mettle Events across social media platforms and within the running community

Share our posts about races, important announcements and press releases
Share your races, group runs, training, &/or volunteering on social media using specific hashtags

Wear Mettle Events apparel at all races and group runs you participate in

Encourage others to register for our events

*Mettle Events reserves the right to change and/or update conditions as deemed necessary. Ambassadors may be removed from the Mettle Events Ambassador team if they do not meet the expectations or represent the company or themselves negatively.
